In-car wireless signal boosters work by taking a weak signal outside of your car. Then they boost it and send the strong boosted signal throughout the interior of the car. Thereby, multiple cell devices can benefit with stronger connection to nearest cell tower. This improves mobile data downlink and uplink speed. It also improves call quality up to thirty two times times. This minimizes dropped calls, too. With this wireless signal booster, all devices in the vehicle within the range of interior antenna can expect marked improvement in mobile reception.
Cell phone boosters like Drive 4G-M amplify weak cell signal to provide you with good coverage inside of your car or minivan. However, the strength of coverage you can expect inside depends on available signal strength outside. No signal booster can make cell signal out of no signal. Therefore, the more powerful signal there's outside, the stronger the signal will be within automobiles. This basically means faster wireless data transfer speeds, and clearer calls without noise. Plus, you will be able to stay connected nearly anywhere you travel within USA & Canada roaming on any service provider network within both those countries.
It is worth noting that antenna bars you see on your smartphone are not accurate. Two bars on one cellphone can be three bars on another even though they are both receiving the same signal side by side! While it may not seem like a huge jump going up one bar and signal, but it can have a huge impact on your call quality and your data speeds. This is especially true in very low signal areas with cell towers very far away. We have had customers tell us that they completely stopped dropping calls with only a small improvement according to the bars on their cell-phone.
Use field test mode for accuracy. For more accurate reading of your signal level, we recommend putting your phone into test mode. This shows you a numeric reading of your exact signal level in decibels - an accurate unit of signal strength measurement, instead of general bars or dots. Here's a blog post on how to put your phone in field test mode with instructions.
The Drive 4G-M comes with an outside antenna, a signal booster and an inside antenna. Outside antenna is a strong earth magnetic mounted antenna which you can place on the roof or trunk of your vehicle. This exterior antenna captures the weak cell signal outside of your vehicle and sends it to the booster inside. The booster amplifies the cell signal and sends that to our interior antenna. This interior antenna then broadcasts that stronger cell signal throughout your vehicle to multiple cellular devices in its range of up to four feet.
Installation: To install the Drive 4G-M, you simply place your outside antenna on the roof of your vehicle and run the cable inside the booster. Then connect the cable to the booster. Place your inside antenna near where you put your phone while driving. Then connect it to the signal booster as well. Then switch on the booster and you're done!
weBoost multi-user in-vehicle signal boosters are the best quality signal boosters in US and Canada. That is why they have been trusted by first responders for years. All our Drive 4G-M boosters feature patented automatic gain control which constantly checks and adjusts the booster for peak performance. If an incoming signal is too strong, the booster simply adjusts itself down and continues to provide you with strong cell signal. This is important as other boosters will simply shut off if they experience an overpowering incoming signal, providing you with no signal whatsoever. All our boosters are also designed in United States.
