The term, "quint" essentially means "five". Its predecessors are single for 1, double for 2, triple for 3, quadruple for 4. Therefore, quintuple is for 5, like sextuple would be for 6, etc. and abbreviated terms sept for 7, oct for 8, non for 9, and dec for 10. As far as cell phone signal boosters are concerned, they were made for specific mobile bands or frequencies to boost signal of mobile devices operating on those frequencies. As the technology improved and the units became smaller, more bands were incorporated within single units. The newest arrivals encompass up to five bands such as the 5 Band Cell Phone Signal Booster. These work on cell phones operating on five bandwidths which cover practically all mobile phones from all Carriers including AT&T and Verizon Wireless. The networks included for signal boosting purposes are: CDMA/EVDO, GSM, LTE 4G, HSPA+ 3G & 4G, and WCDMA frequencies such as 700 MHZ, 800MHZ, 1900MHZ, AWS.
