What is the difference between a signal booster and a signal amplifier? None whatsoever! They are practically synonyms and mean the same. We get asked another very similar question frequently: What is the difference between a signal booster and repeater? The answer is once again the same - No difference. These products basically improve reception where wireless signal is weak. Please note that there needs to be some signal, even if very weak, for these devices to work. They simply "boost", "amplify", or "repeat" the reception signal making it more pronounced so that the transfer of sound or data can occur. Thus, those are the building blocks of names used for such devices:)
