What if you could take almost everything that’s annoying about owning a cell phone and instantly eliminate it (or at least make it much less annoying)? Let’s be honest, cell phones in 2015 are absolutely amazing devices, and most of us wouldn’t know how to function in our daily lives without one.
Still, there are a number of features included on today’s cell phones that leave much to be desired. We’ve mostly resigned ourselves to simply accepting the onerous aspects of our cell phones as inconveniences we just have to live with.
In fact, most people don’t even give a second thought to the ways their cell phones fall short of meeting their needs. They’ve grown so accustomed to dealing with the disappointment over the years that they’ve become desensitized to the ways their smart devices are letting them down.
Chances are that you’re even reading this without truly understanding how much better and more efficient your phone could be for you. Let’s start by looking at the preponderance of weak signal strength.
Signal Strength Problems and Connections Lost
Is there anything more annoying than being in the middle of an important call when it gets dropped because of a sudden drop in signal strength? With all the advances in cell phone technology, there are still dead zones. And they don’t just exist in rural areas. They still exist within cities and suburbs, as well.
I was recently on business trip to St. Louis in which I was there for almost a full week. Because I was in business meetings for most of the normal working hours, I had to use my drive to and from the hotel in the mornings and evenings to call potential and existing clients.
My clients are very important to me. They are truly the lifeblood of my business – and my ability to support my family. So, as you can imagine, it’s absolutely crucial that the time I spend connecting with my existing and potential client base is used effectively.
In my line of work one sale can make up as much as 30% of my take home pay in a given year. And I happened to be working with 2 such potential accounts while in St. Louis when my phone dropped 4 different calls with these 2 clients that week!
After the fourth time I finally realized that I was dropping my calls at the same place every day: When passing by the airport and when crossing over the bridge above the Missouri river.
Again, it isn’t like I was traveling through some rural area of the country. This was St. Louis County I was traveling through. I mean St. Louis is the 51 st largest city in the United States according to city-data.com.
This particular business trip also wasn’t an isolated incidence. As any cell phone owner can attest, annoying dropped calls can take place at seemingly any moment, not matter how developed the infrastructure may seem around you.
The results of a recent survey confirm that nearly all cell phone users are being plagued by an excessive number of calls being dropped on a weekly basis.
The survey was released by the Pew Internet and American Life Project organization. It discovered that 72% of cellphone owners said they experience dropped calls at least occasionally. And 32% of cellphone users say they experience this problem at least a few times a week or more.
While the problem of dropped calls is widespread, with virtually no cell phone user immune from the damage, there is a solution. I’ll share it with you in just a moment, so be sure to keep reading.
First we need to look at another pandemic problem cell phone users are tolerating on a daily basis but shouldn’t have to.
Lackluster 4G Download Speeds
Twenty years ago it was almost unimaginable that people would soon be able to access the worldwide web from their cell phones – and do it efficiently. At that time most LAN desktop connections took forever to download a webpage that contained nothing but text and one or two images.
If you’re over the age of 30, you know exactly what I’m talking about. Fortunately, we’ve come a long way in terms of download speeds. Still, it seems that 3G and 4G networks used by cell phone providers have some catching up to do.
The Pew Internet and American Life Project survey referenced above found that around 55% of cell phones users use their phones to go online to browse the internet, exchange emails, or download apps.
When asked if they experienced slow download speeds that prevent things from downloading as fast as they would like 77% of these cell phone internet users said that they’re dealing with annoyingly slow download speeds that are preventing their phones from loading content as quickly as they’d like.
Out of this 77% who complained of having irritatingly slow internet download speeds on their smart devices, 46% said that they’re dealing with this type of lackluster downloading performance on at least a weekly basis.
To get a better idea of just how problematic lagging download speeds are, here is a breakdown of the composition of the 46% of survey participants who complained about this issue:
Twelve percent complained of dealing with slow download speeds several times each day, nine percent dealt with less than satisfactory download speeds at least once per day, and twenty five percent experienced slow downloading issues on their cell phones at least a few times each week.
With as much as we’re paying these days for cell phone services, it’s unacceptable that so many are having to waste hours of their lives each week waiting for their phones to download information that shouldn’t take that long to download. As I’m going to show you, the technology exists to correct this problem.
But it’s not just individuals using their phones for personal reasons who are suffering.
This is hurting the nation’s businesses, as well. Every minute their employees are sitting and waiting for their phones or other smart device to download information is a minute they could have been doing something more productive instead.
In today’s fast-paced business environment, time is worth more money than ever. So slow 4G download speeds aren’t just an inconvenience for individual users, they’re also a drain on the profits of companies.
As the percentage of employees being issued company cell phones continues to rise, so will the amount of money being lost by companies, as employees sit and wait for the information at their fingertips to load.
Whether for personal use or business matters, the download speed of any mobile device is inextricably intrinsic to the value it holds to the one paying for the service. Mobile service providers recognize this link and are working to continue making the mobile internet user experience more efficient.
But what if you could instantly – and affordably - enhance the download speed of your mobile device right now, today? I want you to think about how much that might be worth to you or your business.
In just a moment I’m going to tell you about a way you can do just that. But, first, I need to expound upon what might be the most inconvenient of any of the plethora of nuances cell phone users are having to put up with in 2015.
Putting Up With Miniscule Battery Life
Like internet download speeds, the battery life of our smartphones has also come a long way. Still, this is an area in which smartphone users are constantly finding themselves frustrated.
Looking at the published specifications of today’s leading cell phone manufacturers, the median published cell phone battery life is around 10 hours under constant internet browsing conditions. Yeah right!
This may be true the first time the battery is drained, but anyone who’s used a cell phone for longer than a few months knows that it doesn’t take long for a phone’s battery life to plummet.
Before recently upgrading to the iPhone 6 Plus, my iPhone 4S needed to be charged at least once per day. So, I would have to limit how often I was on it – even if it was inconvenient to do so. Otherwise, my battery would run out and would need charged in the middle of the day when I was on the go in various meetings and didn’t have the ability to charge it.
I suppose there are worse things – like not having a cell phone at all. But, let’s be honest here. Having to constantly charge your phone is a pain. It sucks!
You shouldn’t have to charge your phone every time you spend an hour or two browsing the web, beating a few levels of Candy Crush, and cruising Facebook to find out what your friends are up to.
To be fair, many people don’t treat their phone batteries with much tender loving care. Exposing your phone to heat, not fully charging it every time, and leaving the phone charging well after the battery is fully charged (a problem only in older models now) are all common ways that people exacerbate their batteries and kill their longevity.
Nevertheless, there are also other elements that factor into how long your phone holds its charges that can be leveraged to greatly extend its battery life from charge to charge.
If there were a way to instantly extend your useable battery life by a couple of hours or more, would this make your life easier? Would it alleviate your incessant worrying every time you pick up your phone that you only have a small amount of time before your battery dies out and needs to be recharged?
What if you had access to a single device that could boost your signal strength so that it would eliminate almost all dropped calls, enhance your internet experience by boosting your 4G download speeds, and extend your phone’s useable battery life by 2 hours or more on every single charge?
