Fabric to Block Wireless Wi-Fi and Cellular Radiofrequency or Cell Phone Signals. It is 11 sq. ft. area material or 36 inches in width and 44 inches in length.

This next generation of RF shielding technology is used by law enforcement, the military, and forensics investigators to block GPS signals, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and cell phone signals. Individuals can also make effective use of Faraday Fabric to avoid credit card skimming and to provide data protection while travelling, including EZ pass shielding, isolating signals within secure facilities, EMP protection, and to provide the ultimate protection against identity theft and theft of personal data.

This RF shielding fabric makes effective use of nickel and copper to achieve high shielding protection from 10 megahertz to 5 gigahertz, with an attenuation average between 80 and 100 decibels. As an added bonus, each packet of Faraday Fabric comes complete with a generous 12-inch Faraday Tape sample, so you can combine multiple layers of Faraday Fabric to block EMPs, EMI radiation, and RF signals, providing protection for your solar generators, credit cards, passports, and so much more.

How to Use Faraday Fabric.

Since it can be sewn, cut, and otherwise treated like regular fabric, Faraday Fabric can be customized and used for a variety of applications including router shielding, shielding against wireless meters, reducing EMI radiation, and protecting CME/EMP.

How to Build a Faraday Enclosure.

  1. Construct an RF shielding enclosure using Faraday Fabric.
  2. To reduce radiation, try placing the Faraday Fabric directly over the object. While this will reduce the level of direct radiation, remember that signals can easily fill spaces by bouncing around rooms.
  3. To achieve a complete blocking of radiation and other signals, it is necessary for the device to be completely covered on all sides, without even the smallest hole which can cause signal leakage.
  4. In order to block Wi-Fi and other high-strength signals, you may need up to three layers of Faraday Fabric on every side. The exact number of layers needed will depend on the way in which the enclosure has been built.
  5. Signals with a low megahertz reading, such as two-way radios and access cards, may require up to four layers of Faraday Fabric on all sides.
  6. A tight container can be created by ensuring that the enclosure's mouth is securely folded over.
  7. Multiple sheets of Faraday Fabric can be effectively joined using Faraday Tape. A 12-inch sample is provided with every packet of Faraday Fabric.
  8. An easy-to-use app can help you test how effective your Faraday project is. On Android devices, search for the "MD Faraday Bag Tester" app, while iPhone users will need the "Faraday Test" app. As an additional test, step inside your enclosure and try texting or making a phone call to see if your enclosure is sound.

How to Care for Your Faraday Fabric.

  • Faraday Fabric must be stored in a dry, clean environment.
  • Always avoid washing your Faraday Fabric, as doing so can reduce the effectiveness of its shielding properties. If cleaning is necessary, use a slightly damp cloth to wipe the fabric and allow it to air dry.
