The benefits of using a Samsung Booster for your cell phone and tablet:
If you have had the frustration of losing a signal during an important call, or if you have a frequent habit of finding yourself saying "I can’t hear you, I am losing my signal" then you may need to boost your signal in order to get better reception on your phone. And while you could go about finding a generic booster, such is not advised for cell phones. Samsung phones, such as the Galaxy Stratosphere, Samsung Gusto or the Samsung Galaxy all require that the network used and phone used sync. The following booster kits will also boost coverage for cell phones by other manufacturers and cell service providers. That means that your friends, co-workers or family members who have cell phone made by another manufacturer and cellular service with any other wireless carrier in USA or Canada, can also benefit from the boosted signal when they visit your home or travel with you in your vehicle.
The Signal Booster Guide for Samsungs shown below is your comprehensive source for accurate information. BOOSTER MODEL | DESCRIPTION | MSRP | DB GAIN? What is dB Gain? Signal strength is measured in decibels (dB). Theoretically, -50 dB represents peak signal strength (5 signal bars), whereas -110 dB implies practically zero signal on your Samsung. Therefore, this means that signal strength reduces, as this number goes further away from zero (a higher negative number is further away from zero than a lower negative number). The number shown in this column indicates amount of potential improvement of your Samsung signal strength. As you can see, all of them provide a drastic improvement in Samsung reception signal strength. | COVERAGE |

As great as cell phones are, they do need to have maintenance and upgrading from time to time. If the Samsung is an older model like Samsung Galaxy S3, than it is outdated. Yes, you can still get the basic functionality out of the phone in some cases, but it should be understood that the network is no longer designed to meet the requirements of those older models. Consider upgrading to a Samsung Galaxy Note, Samsung Nexus, or the Samsung Galaxy S6 edge.
Once you have determined that the phone is current and supported on your network, there are a few steps that you can take to troubleshoot the signal:
• Check to see if you get a stronger signal outside of the building. If so, take note of this location. Go inside the building and try to get a signal in relatively the same place. If you cannot get a signal from inside the building, then the structure of the building (the construction) may be blocking the signal.
• If you are unable to get a signal on the exterior or the interior of your building check to see if the phone ever receives a signal. Do this by checking the signal strength in your home and at various locations. If you find that your signal returns at different locations, then your signal may be weakened by man-made structures (buildings) or by natural structures (trees). Also, keep in mind your proximity to your network tower. If your signal increases as you get closer to the tower than you may be out of range at your desired location.
• Look around the office and the exterior of the building to see if there are any existing antennas or signal boosters present. Such devices which are improperly mounted can cause cross-interference with the signal or cancel cell phone signals altogether. If possible, turn the booster/antenna temporarily off and determine if this boosts your signal. If so then adjust the antenna/booster accordingly.
If after troubleshooting you find that you have a signal, albeit a weak one, you may require the use of an external device to boost your signal’s strength such as Samsung cell phone booster.
Samsung signal boosters help to boost the reception on your Samsung Galaxy SA, Note, Core Prima, Legend, or Galaxy Nexus by Samsung phone. This is accomplished by taking the signals that already exist in the area and amplifying those signals so that you get a strong signal. It does not create a signal but rather reconditions the signals in the area. For example: If you have a Galaxy Stratosphere which you purchased from Verizon, then your Samsung cell phone booster would check the Verizon network to see which signals are available in that area which are compatible with your Galaxy Stratosphere. The signals would then go through the hardware of the booster and transmit to your device through the antenna.
• Eliminate dropped connections by amplifying the signal on your phone.
• Improve the quality of the call by reducing the static and disturbance on the line.
• If using the network for data transfers, the boosters can help to download at faster speeds.
• Optimize the battery life to talk time by providing a stronger signal that can be used while the battery is charged. It does not charge your battery, but it provides you with a functional device for when your battery is charged, reducing the superfluous time that a dropped signal has on a phone.
There are two considerations which must be considered when you are looking for a cell phone booster. The first consideration is to couple the cell phone booster with the type of phone that it is to boost. For example, a Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge should be coupled with a Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge Booster. This could be a Wilson 75 Ohm or a Wilson Desktop Connector dependent upon your needs. You would not want to pair a cell phone such as a LG Cosmos with a Samsung Cell phone booster as there may be some compatibility issues.
The second consideration that must be given to your cell phone signal booster is the functionality of the device. As there are several different kinds of cell phone boosters, knowing how you will primarily use the booster is critical. Ask yourself the following questions:
• Do I require a mobile booster (such as a booster for a standard vehicle, RV, Boat, or RV)? If a mobile unit is desired, then consider whether you want to have a bolted mount or a magnetic mounted unit.
• Will you need to have a mounted antenna or will a desktop booster suffice? If you are using a desktop booster, ensure that you have cleared space between the booster and the antenna in order to get the best reception.
• What is your proximity to the tower/network? The further you are from a tower/network connection the more powerful the booster will have to be in order to get a signal and maximize that signal.
• How many phones will need to use the booster? Where Cell phone signal boosters can amplify the signals on multiple phones in many cases, too many phones accessing the network may cause a weakness on the signal.
The answers to these questions will help you to determine the type of Samsung cell phone booster that you need. Keep in mind that you will also have to have a booster that is accepted by your network provider and matches their frequencies. Where this may sound a bit confusing, it is rather simple. Most service providers will be able to help you in determining the best option.
There are variations in the types of cell phone boosters and, of course, there will be bells and whistles which may be offered by a specific brand. However, there are four components which will be present in any cellphone booster. These are:
• A booster.
• An antenna (which may be tied into the booster but are commonly a separate part).
• A coax cable.
• A power source.
A Samsung cell phone booster is a wonderful tool to eliminate dropped calls and improve the overall functionality of your phone, there are a few things that any cell phone booster cannot do. A cell phone booster cannot create a signal where there is not a signal present. In most cases this restriction applies to extremely rural areas or areas which have a tremendous amount of density (whether man-made or natural). Cell phone boosters are not a substitute for a network subscription and cannot access towers and networks that you do not have a subscription/permission to access. Any cell phone booster which claims to hack into a network is either giving you false information or conducting their boosts illegally and should be avoided.
Cell phone boosters are mandated by the FCC to be registered. This requirement is more for the protection of the network (to keep generic models from crashing or damaging the network ) then as a means of controlling the amount of Cell Phone boosters. The FCC has stated that signal boosters can improve coverage, but that improperly installed, poorly designed, and malfunctioning devices can hinder the network including 911 services.
While we have attempted to give adequate and thorough information to help you decide if and which cell phone signal booster you may require for your Samsung product, there may arise other questions regarding cell phone signal boosters. Should you have any questions please let us know.
